“The Linux operating system has made major inroads in computing
but isn’t ready for the technology world’s toughest jobs, a new
study concludes. D.H. Brown Associates Inc., a Port Chester, N.Y.,
technology consulting group, says in the report that Linux is
inferior to commercial operating systems, including Microsoft
Corp.’s Windows NT, for many of the most-demanding but common tasks
involved in running large businesses.”
