met with your Representatives regarding HB 2892. During this
crucial phase, I ask you to continue to push for this bill; I
cannot stress enough how critical this is; a strong showing of
public support will make the difference, guaranteed.“As many of you know, much activity has surrounded HB 2892 in
the past few days. Last Friday, the Oregonian ran a front-page
article in the Business section with the headline, ‘Stiff
opposition derails open-source measure.’ Industry group lobbyists
from Microsoft, the American Electronic Association, and others
have worked hard to ‘make this Bill go away.’“Guess what? Thanks to all of you who have written and called,
this bill has not gone away. I thank each
