NewsFactor: How Serious Is the Firefox Threat to IE?

“Another month, another set of market share figures for Web
browsers. This time, Web analytics firm OneStat.com has reported
that upstart Web browser Firefox has captured 8.45 percent of
global usage. That is up a point since November of last year.

“Microsoft’s Internet Explorer has dropped to below 90 percent,
according to Onestat.com, with a usage share of 87.28 percent, down
1.62 percent since November. The company suggests that some users
are choosing to switch to Firefox instead of upgrading to the
current version of Internet Explorer, IE 6.0…”
