NewsForge: First look: NVU RC 1.0

“NVU is the open source community’s first WYSIWYG HTML editor,
slated to be released shortly. After testing the release candidate
software, I like what I see. It’s clearly not yet the product it’s
capable of becoming, but it already has a lot of functionality, as
well as a lot of promise.

“After a painless install on my Ubuntu box, I found NVU’s
interface neat and well-organized. The main workspace includes the
site manager (about which more in a moment), the main window, which
comprises an untitled document by default, and three toolbars:
