Does anyone remember having to drop an Amiga to get it
to work? Though this survey doesn’t address Linux directly, it does
point to a good motivation to keep up the work on good interfaces:
many people who reported attacking their PC’s (some injuring
themselves) did so because they don’t understand how to get a
desired response out of it. A representative anecdote:
“I got so angry with my laptop that I just threw it
across the room, when it refused to come out of the suspended mode.
The funny thing was when I calmed down and picked up the laptop it
was out of the suspended mode, but my hi-fi, which it hit, has
never worked since.”
