“One of my favorite GNOME applets has always been the
GNOME-netstatus network interface monitoring tool. Until recently,
I was unable to find a satisfactory similar application for KDE.
However, I finally stumbled upon the KNetStats applet at
SourceForge, a mature network interface monitoring applet for the
KDE system tray.

“The current version (v1.2) is available for download from the
SourceForge Project page, and is a realtively small download at
333K, and it does require Python to be installed on your system in
order to be compiled and run. There are no binary releases, no deb,
RPM or slp packages, only source code at this time…”
