“Who would benefit if Microsoft started supporting
Linux?
The issue is pretty open right now, since Microsoft has
no real plan for this. At least that’s what they’re telling us.

“But let us assume Microsoft does do business tomorrow as they
do today. They make their own Linux kernel-patch (later to be
released as MS Linux 2005), which is a patch for the binary
compiled kernel for Intel386 machines. Or in some way or the other
manage to patch in the gore of Windows into the Linux kernel.”
