“If you go to
http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/news/dot-truth.asp or
http://www.dot-truth.com/ you will find a remarkable document (at
least you could on Feb 16th, 2000 when I saved a copy of the page
to annotate.)”

“The object of the page appears to be to spread FUD about Sun
and it’s products. The reason for this is obvious, despite the
success of Linux, Sun still has a hold on many of the largest
computer sites; sites that Microsoft would love to assimilate into
the Borg collective.
Anything that may help assimilation is
fair in the moral world that Microsoft lives in…”

“Sun are a major player in big servers and this is the market
that Microsoft are after with W2K. But the major problem for
Microsoft is for a site to move from Solaris to W2K is not just a
case of installing Windows, all the hardware has to be replaced as
well. For a big site, this is a major cost and would only be
attempted at a time where the site would be considering a major
hardware upgrade anyway.”
