mentioned they all got this training on how to position NT vs.
Linux… Of course, it is a misguided attempt and has no way to
actually work…”

namely the commoditization of key
pieces of the infrastructure of computing. In all previous cases,
virtually without exception, the technology that came from below,
even if it was inferior in certain respects, which Linux arguably
