that there’s less programmers out there for Linux than what was
admitted, but that’s not the point I’m going to argue here. The
point I’m trying to emphasize here is Linux doesn’t have enough
“expert programmers” needed to vaunt it in big time.“

not a negative one), are OVERWORKED and OVERWHELMED and are looking
for some relief from other Linux programmers out there. The rest of
us (the grass-root programmers) just run Linux just to be able to
attain a certain bragging rights and some technical gabbygook
adulation from our unwitting peers.”
“Just mentioning “Oh I have Linux on my computer” vaults you
into some dimension reserved for brainaics and hard-core
programmers in the eyes of the unwitting public. It’s a great
deception, of course . . . as long as we can get away with it.
Heck, I’m guilty of being one of them. The only way I ever
supported the Linux movement was ordering my CD from YDL (Yellow
Dog Linux). I’ve never programmed a single line for Linux, I’m sure
that there are a lot of “grass-root” programmers out there have
programmed at least around 300 lines of codes, not enough to
deserve expert status.”
