of systems are to be set up in yet another “fair” test, one in
which Microsoft products are almost certain to come out with flying
colors, or at least an honorable mention, on a “level” playing

You would have to have your head in the sand to not know
that last time this was tried, Microsoft was able to essentially
tailor their own system, but that the supervisor of the Linux
system not only failed to apply as much as one security patch but
used a proprietary system for the guestbook, which subsequently
proved to be the Achilles heel.
How fair is that?”

“Again, a previous event (windows2000test) featured a Microsoft
machine behind firewalling (despite assurances to the contrary) and
babysat for the first few days. I personally watched a BackOrifice
port open on the machine, seconds before the operators pulled the
plug. How fair is that?”
