“The Gartner Group published a series of reports that are
overtly hostile to LINUX. Indeed, if one compares the tone from the
previously published report on the transition issue facing
companies that buy NT with those on LINUX, once sees a loss of any
objectivity. How does LINUX threaten the Gartner group and its
livelihood?

“The recent report was a real howler. The report misleads its
readers in assuming that Red Hat’s rise parallels that of
Microsoft’s but will ultimately fail. Anyone who follows
closely Open source/Free software knows that Red Hat alone won’t
knock Microsoft from its monopolistic position; it’s the entire
Open source/Free software movement that’ll do it.”
