“I’m too busy pondering the shortage of applications for
Linux.”

In a world of scarcity, a new opportunity to make money
should have people clamoring to take advantage of it; apparently
not as far as Linux goes, according to the various commentators at
various magazines, companies, web sites, etc.

“Of course, anyone can point me in the direction of Applixware,
Star Office, Siag Office, KOffice, the Gnome Workbench, etc. The
web programmers among you can point me towards Apache, Perl,
Mozilla, etc. The database analyst/programmers can shove me in the
direction of the GNU SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Sybase ASE 11.x,
Oracle 8.x, IBM DB/2, and others, greater and lesser. And so on and
so forth…”
