“With the release of Vista and the curiosity people have with
trying other operating systems in light of its release, I have
found myself knee deep in a number of operating systems over the
course of the past few months. BSD, Linux, even OS X. But when it
comes to Linux, there are still a number of users feeling
overwhelmed as they become confused with this Linux distribution’s
way of doing things: why are there no multimedia CODECS already
installed, how come Java and Flash are left out by default, and if
there are legal issues surrounding these items, how come there are
no documents on the desktop to easily explain all of this…?”
