“We keep hearing it over and over–desktop Linux is ready for
primetime. And you know something, I think that statement has
proved to cause more harm than praise, perhaps in part because of
the fact that our initial response is to try and compare the latest
distribution to the last Windows version that we had installed.
Maybe this goes to show just how prejudice we really are? This is a
fact that could be debated until the end of days. Instead of
spending time on that point, let’s explore what could potentially
become a developing trend in the realm of software distribution on
