“IBM is looking to new clustering technologies as a way to bring
improved data availability to its entire line of PC servers.”

“At the core of the Netfinity clustering push is Microsoft
Corp.’s Cluster Server technology, which links two Windows NT
servers.”

“IBM is working with the Redmond, Wash., company to develop
IBM-branded software that links four sets of Cluster Server
clusters for a total of eight nodes, Netfinity General Manager Bill
Colton said last week at IBM’s Business Partner Executive
Conference here.”
