“At its Windows Hardware Engineering Conference in Los Angeles,
the company will outline its high-level strategy for Windows 98,
Embedded NT and Windows CE.”

“Microsoft… may also demonstrate an early version of 64-bit
Windows NT.”

“The PCI Special Interest Group will use WinHEC to map out plans
for I/O standards. The Hillsboro, Ore., group will discuss both
PCI-X, a proposed extension to the PCI local-bus specification for
servers, and Mini PCI, a proposed specification for integrating
peripherals such as modems in notebooks and other devices.”
