“Oracle Corp. will port its Oracle8i Lite database to Linux and
introduce an embeddable version later this year that supports up to
10 concurrent users.”

“Oracle officials said the release next month of Oracle8i Lite,
to run on Palm and Windows CE operating systems, would be followed
later this year with a “mini-server” version… Support for Linux
will complement server support for Windows NT and leading Unix
flavors.”
