PC World: LinuxOne Ready Drive: Not Ready

LinuxOne aims for easy installation, but its Ready Drive is
anything but.

“Two weeks ago, I spotted what I thought was an easy way to get
started with Linux without having to go through the hassle of
actually installing it: a hard drive preloaded with the LinuxOne
operating system….”

“When I turned on the machine, a log-in screen appeared. The
32-page LinuxOne OS installation guide–the only instructions
included with the drive–said to log in as “root” and use the
password I’d chosen during setup.”

“But since the Ready Drive comes preloaded with Linux, setup had
already taken place at the factory. Result: Access denied!”
