“As I write this month’s article, it is the end of April.
The roses are beginning to leaf out, and the thorns are
becoming visible, as well. So it is not surprising that two events
occurred that reveal weaknesses in Linux and the Linux
community.

“The first of these events was the publication of the D.H. Brown
report comparing Linux with Windows NT v. 4.0 and commercial UNIX
systems. The second event was Microsoft’s funding of a test
laboratory to benchmark Linux vs. Microsoft Windows NT 4.0.”
