Mandrakesoft today announced the availability of a new update
service aimed at helping corporates to keep their systems
up-to-date: Mandrakeonline provides a wide range of valuable
services for easily taking care of all updates on a range of
Mandrakelinux systems, at a low cost.

Mandrakeonline combines advanced built-in Mandrakelinux updating
capabilities with a unique online service which provides the
following features:

  • Perfect system security: Mandrakeonline provides automated
software updates including security patches, bug fixes and errata
notices. All updates are based on a machine’s specific hardware
    configuration and installed software.
  • Notification of updates: Mandrakeonline can alert users on
availability of updates by e-mail and by an applet notification on
    the desktop.
  • Automatic updates: With automatic software updates there is no
need to worry about manual updating of the Mandrakelinux systems.
All networked Mandrakelinux systems can be managed from one
Mandrakeprofile and lets the administrator keep a track of the
status of all the machines on the network.
  • Flexible scheduled updates: The complete history of all updates
can be viewed by full log access and a personalized page at
    www.mandrakeonline.net.

With the new Mandrakeonline, a simple mouse click or a single
command is enough to update a Mandrakelinux system with security
updates and bug fixes. Updates can be scheduled for a convenient
time, such as at night when the computer has sufficient free
resources.

“An advanced update service was requested for a long time by
Mandrakelinux users. With Mandrakeonline we are offering a service
which is efficient, full-featured and also easy-to-use”, said
François Bancilhon, CEO of Mandrakesoft. He added “We’re
very confident that Mandrakeonline will be quickly recognized by
corporate users as an example of a reference quality-service in
this field”.

Mandrakeonline is now available to all Mandrakelinux 10.0
users.

Mandrakeonline subscription fee is as low as: 21.95 USD / 19.90
EUR per year.

unlimited access to Mandrakeonline.
