“Spring kicked-off 2000 with vigor, placing it at the heart of
the new e-conomy. Alongside business leaders, dot-com entrepreneurs
and IT professionals, the IT industry’s largest gathering of senior
government officials was on-hand to plot the blueprint of the new
millennium.”

“Throughout the week, more than 80,000 IT professionals and
business leaders crowded the exhibit floor to meet with leading
e-business vendors who are simplifying procedures and enhancing
e-commerce services for the new millennium. EDS and COMDEX launched
a long-term strategic relationship at COMDEX/Spring 2000. EDS will
be the first IT professional services company to plan and implement
an integrated show network for COMDEX/Fall exhibitors — this will
include application services provisioning.”

LINUX Business Expo, which debuted alongside COMDEX/Spring
this year, also created enormous buzz on the show floor.
“TurboLinux was overwhelmed at Linux Business Expo in Chicago,”
said Lonn Johnston, vice president of marketing, TurboLinux.

“We thought the LBE was hot in Las Vegas last fall but Chicago was
even better. We had tons of traffic and great prospects visiting
our booth. We closed several new large VARS on the show floor and
have more than 2,000 qualified leads for our sales team to follow
up.”
