Compaq…announced it will license its Tru64 UNIX V5.0
operating system for technology enthusiasts, educational learning
purposes, and other non- commercial users at a nominal cost of
$99.00 plus shipping and handling to give users access to the
powerful features and functions of Compaq Tru64 UNIX on
AlphaServer.

This license and media – available now in North America and
worldwide in December 1999 – includes:

+ the Compaq Tru64 UNIX V5.0 operating system

+ a full suite of developers tools through the Tru64 UNIX
Developers Kit

+ server extensions

+ the most current Internet products on the market today through
Compaq’s Open Source Internet Solutions (OSIS).”
