“Computer Associates…announced a Linux version of its
award-winning InoculateIT antivirus solution, reaffirming the
company’s commitment to the burgeoning Linux software community.
The new solution is designed to help clients better manage IT
resources across all platforms found in heterogeneous
enterprises.”

CA is introducing InoculateIT 6.0 for Linux — designed to
help protect Linux machines from all kinds of viruses, especially
worms and macro viruses — in response to corporate customers’
growing tendency to deploy the open source operating system for a
wide range of applications.

“Some industry experts believe that Linux must be able to
integrate with corporate standards and troubleshoot problems caused
by other operating systems for it to proliferate in business
environments.”
