“LINUX SHOWCASE, BOOTH #328, Computone Corporation…announced
today that software device drivers for its IntelliPort II family of
high-speed serial communications products have been incorporated
into the Linux kernel source code base.”

We have been a long time advocate of LINUX and partners to
both Red Hat and Caldera.
The LINUX operating system is
rapidly gaining acceptance in the server marketplace. It offers the
reliability and stability of UNIX, the flexibility of cross
platform support and the performance of an efficient code base,”
said Perry Pickerign, President and CEO of Computone Corporation,
Inc. “With the release of our LINUX driver, Computone provides
customers with the increased capacity they require for their
communications servers. We offer the leading price/performance
serial connectivity and the more robust remote access server
features the Linux community requires.”
