“LinuxMall.com, the number one Linux e-commerce site and the
world’s leading distributor of Linux products, and
userfriendly.org, a leading online entertainment destination for
the global IT technical community, jointly announced a sponsorship,
marketing and promotional partnership today at Comdex
Chicago.”

“The US$1.2 million agreement, described as “User Friendly
Media’s Dust Puppy Joins Forces with Tux the Penguin,” is payable
over 24 months to User Friendly Media Inc. (owner of
userfriendly.org). The lead component of the partnership agreement
includes a User Friendly-branded Web storefront that will sell
LinuxMall.com’s lineup of Linux products, as well as merchandise
and other goods from the userfriendly.org Web site. This storefront
will connect directly to LinuxMall.com’s award-winning e-commerce
system for backend fulfillment and service on all sales from the
site.”

“For LinuxMall.com, the partnership with userfriendly.org
provides access to many of the IT professionals worldwide who may
have need for its increasing assortment of Linux products and
services. Through a series of co-marketing initiatives,
LinuxMall.com will be able to associate with the powerful bond that
has developed between User Friendly fans (or “Ufies,” as they
prefer to call themselves) and the characters of the strip.”
