“Lutris Technologies today announced a joint effort among Open
Source advocates Lutris Technologies, BullSoft and France Telecom
to deliver the next major component of the Open Source revolution:
a complete, highly customizable and scalable enterprise-class
Internet application server platform.”

“This effort among the Open Source sponsors is the result of
combining the JOnAS Enterprise Java Bean (EJB) server from
BullSoft, Bull’s worldwide software division, with France Telecom’s
Jonathan CORBA object request broker (ORB) and Lutris Technologies’
Enhydra Java/XML application server. This new platform is needed to
speed the development and deployment of the next generation of
Internet applications – ranging from embedded handheld devices to
enterprise applications for the Global 2000.”

“The joint initiative among Lutris, BullSoft and France Telecom
identifies strategic areas of technical cooperation, leveraging the
strengths of each contributing member. BullSoft and France Telecom
already are working together and have initiated the ObjectWeb Open
Source community to work with BullSoft’s JOnAS and France Telecom’s
Jonathan. Lutris will be working with BullSoft and France
Telecom to involve the large and rapidly growing community of
Enhydra developers in the enhancement and integration of BullSoft’s
and France Telecom’s Open Source technologies.
