“ParaSoft, leading provider of error prevention and error
detection solutions, announced today their Director of Technology,
Dr. Michael Aivazis, will be a featured speaker at the upcoming
LinuxWorld Conference and Expo in New York. Dr. Aivazis will be
presenting a talk entitled “Configuring the Software Development
Process on Linux.”

While several analyst groups have highlighted the growth of
Linux as a server operating system, Linux is also gaining ground on
corporate desktops. Software development is a big aspect of this
movement, proving Linux is fast becoming a development
platform.

“Linux is the ideal software development platform for C, C++,
and Java because it removes so many of the obstacles typically
associated with development,” said Dr. Aivazis. “Linux has a low
cost of ownership, is stable enough to catch errors before they
crash the machine, and features an increasing number of free and
commercial development tools.”
