that there had been an alpha of RealOne out for a while. I thought
RealPlayer 6 was still the latest version. Mea culpa, but I’ll
leave the story up for those few who, like me, weren’t aware of
this release. Trust me, there’ll be plenty of other current news

An alpha version of the RealOne Player for Linux is
available.
To obtain the preview of the RealOne Player, visit the Community
Supported RealPlayer Download Page. After filling in the
registration form (making sure to select Linux 2.x (libc6 i386) as
the OS), click on Download Community Supported Player.
On the subsequent page, select RealOne Player for Unix – Preview
Release. Continue the download.
As with all Real Players for Linux, Real does not “guarantee
functionality, maintenance, upgrades, fixes, or suitability for any
purpose.” Nor is this software supported by Real.
