“Red Hat Software (Nasdaq: RHAT) snapped its brim against the
ill market wind that has been blowing on Wall Street and emerged
from the storm victorious.”

“The stock closed today at $52.06, a gain of 271.88 percent over
its offering price of $14. The Durham, North Carolina-based company
— the biggest distributor of the alternative Linux operating
system — priced 6 million shares of common stock at the top of a
richer price range on Wednesday, raising $84 million.”
