Reuters: Microsoft aims to whittle down Caldera lawsuit

“Microsoft Corp. lawyers head into a Utah courtroom on
Tuesday where they will try convincing a federal judge to dismiss
charges the computer software giant illegally tried to squash
another rival company.”

“Microsoft has filed nine motions asking for various parts of
the case to be thrown out that will be argued before U.S. District
Judge Dee Benson in Salt Lake City in a series of hearings over the
next six weeks.”

“Caldera claims DR-DOS, which at one point had captured 12
percent of the market, was a superior computer operating system
that would have gained far more customers had it not been for
Microsoft’s tactics.”..
