“Since I’ve started using GNU/Linux seriously with RedHat 9
which is a distribution that uses the RPM-Package System, I wasn’t
very spoiled with something I call a good package managent.

“After some Linux time I learned that there are debian and
debian-based distributions which make the installation of packages
much easier than I knew it before. So I switched to Mepis Linux, a
modern distribution with a modern KDE desktop. I liked it, but
somehow I wasn’t satisfied…”
