Samsung announced Samsung DeX earlier this week as a way for users to transform their mobile phones into full-fledged desktops or workstations by attaching a monitor, mouse, and keyboard. DeX is currently limited the Galaxy S8 and S8+, as well as Note 8, bringing you a desktop-like experience powered by your smartphone. And now, Samsung wants to expand the DeX’s capabilities by introducing “Linux on Galaxy,” a new concept promising to bring the Linux PC experience to your mobile device. Linux on Galaxy comes in the form of an app that you can install on your smartphone to run multiple Linux-based operating systems.
