“Since trixbox CE is basically a stock installation of
CentOS Linux, very little hardening has been done to the system to
secure it. This lack of security is intentional as the first level
of defence should always be a good firewall. Since there will be
people who still insist on putting the system in a data center with
no firewall, some care will need to be taken to ensure that the
system is as secure as possible. The first step is to disable any
services that are running that could be potential security
vulnerabilities.
