ServerWatch: An Open-Xchange of Communication

“The Open-Xchange Server has changed hands several times since
its inception. It spawned from Netline, which then integrated it
into SUSE’s OpenExchange server. When Novell purchased SUSE it
dropped ‘SUSE’ from the product’s name and released its own branded
Open-Xchange. At this point, Novell, perhaps confused by the
product’s changing nomenclature, agreed to provide support services
for Netline’s version of Open-Xchange.

Open-Xchange code under the GPL and became Open-Xchange. Currently,
it distributes both a commercial and a free open source version,
and Novell appears to no longer sell it…”
