“LinuxWorld recently published an interview with Jean-Pierre
Archambault, an official of the Centre National de Documentation
Pedagogique (CNDP), a governmental agency under the authority of
the French Minister of Education. In it Archambault summarizes the
three main issues facing the French school system as it works to
integrate Linux….”

“Hugo Rimbert told us about his current work: “Since October
2000, I’m developing the beginning of a graphical interface for
kids.” His project looks interesting, and could spark some
discussion on how interfaces specifically designed for children
might differ from more common interfaces….”

“We’re ready to announce our new listing of educational software
for Linux. All of the applications we’ve listed in these reports
are there, with facilities for users to add reviews of the programs
they’ve used to the listings for those programs. The indexing is
currently fairly rudimentary, but we hope to address that
next.”
