“After the Blender Institute released Big Buck to show
what the Blender software was capable of, they followed it up with
the 3-D “Yo Frankie” game that they produced using Crystal Space
and the Blender Game Engine. The core team had met in Amsterdam and
spent the next half year developing the platform-independent game,
financed through advance orders. Other sponsors beside Blender
Institute and the Crystal Space Team were also involved in the
Amsterdam game-making.”
