list of companies moving to embrace the Linux computer operating
system, upping the ante in a challenge to Microsoft’s
dominance.”

“Dell said it plans in the next few months to offer clients
buying its popular Dimension desktop PCs and Inspiron notebook
computer line the option of choosing the Linux operating system
over Windows 95, 98 or NT.”

“Motorola’s Computer Group announced it will work with
Linux-based platforms to develop an array of products embedded in
smaller computing devices such as the Palm personal digital
assistants.”
