Open Source Development Lab (OSDL).”

The lab’s primary aim: to make Linux more reliable,
available and serviceable–and thus, better able to meet enterprise
computing needs….

“The first lab facility will be opened in Portland, Ore., where
Intel, IBM and HP each have operations, but will be run
independently and have an independent director. The four companies
expect to establish several locations, connected over the Internet,
over time.”
