SRO: IBM Global Services Joins The Linux Parade

“IBM Global Services announced Tuesday a complete end-to-end
services offering for the Linux operating system, including
everything from consulting and planning, to systems design and
implementation, to operational support, including 24-hour technical
assistance.”

“Additionally, Big Blue at LinuxWorld Expo in San Jose, Calif.,
offered further details on relationships with three Linux
distributors–Red Hat, Caldera and TurboLinux. IBM officials said
they plan to leverage the Linux expertise of those three companies
to assist end customers with their toughest problems.”

“In addition to the above-mentioned offerings, IBM’s new Linux
services will include network design, Web server implementation,
application enablement and database enablement.”
