“You may have thought that Red Hat Software Inc. was the only
Linux reseller vendor partnering with IBM. That’s not the case. It
turns out that IBM will also be working with Caldera Systems Inc.,
Pacific HiTech, Inc., and SuSE LLC, according to sources close to
each company.”

“IBM and these Linux players will announce hardware bundling and
software support at next week’s LinuxWorld in San Jose, Calif.
While details are sketchy, each vendor will have a strong
relationship with IBM, according to sources close to each
company.”

“Critics may consider IBM’s Linux moves a publicity stunt to
create a buzz about Big Blue. They’re wrong. As reported, IBM is
porting its WebSphere Application Server to Linux. And that’s only
the tip of the iceberg.”
