together that you could call Windows on PCs “Wintel” and everyone
knew what you were talking about. You can still say Wintel, but
soon you may be saying Redtel as well.”

“Red Hat Software announced this week that Intel will be
bundling its trademark Red Hat Linux operating system with Intel
servers to ISPs in Intel’s Internet Service Provider
Program…”

Intel will first make Red Hat Linux 6.1 available on its
Symmetric Multi Processing (SMP) servers, the Intel LB440GX and
SC450NX. This version of Linux, according to both companies, has
better SMP support than generic Linux.
