for the first quarter ended March 31, 1999, reporting revenues of
$5.3 million, compared to revenues of $1.6 million for the first
quarter ended March 31, 1998. With 130 employees worldwide,
corporate offices in Nuremberg, Germany and subsidiaries in Munich,
Frankfurt and Oakland, California SuSE is a worldwide leading Linux
software company.
“We are pleased to report that we achieved a growth of 230% in
sales in the first quarter,” said Roland Dyroff, Chief Executive
Officer. “Growth was particularly strong in sales of SuSE Linux in
the USA and in our service and consulting business. We expect these
markets to be key to our growth in the next few years. Our strategy
is based on our solid engineering background, which we have been
demonstrating with a wide range of contributions to projects like
the Linux[tm] Kernel, XFree86[tm], KDE, I4L and many others.”
