SVLUG: Kernel 2.2 pre-launch shakedown

… in preparation for the imminent event where one of the 2.1.X
kernels will soon be pronounced “Linux 2.2.0”.

All Linux users who can build their own systems are now
encouraged to help shake down the pre-2.2 kernels on all available
platforms.

But users who depend on pre-built RPM/DEB packages or CD-ROM
distributions of Linux would be realistic to plan on waiting until
after 2.2 is officially released and then several weeks or months
for the major distributors to build, test and manufacture systems
based on the new kernels.
