Sybase Unveils SQL Anywhere Studio for Linux

“In response to worldwide customer demand, Sybase, Inc. (Nasdaq:
SYBS) today announced that it will offer a Linux version of the
industry-leading mobile database solution, Sybase(R) SQL
Anywhere(TM) Studio. With the same robust features and full
technical support of Sybase’s other core platforms, SQL Anywhere
for Linux is designed to leverage Linux’s enterprise-class
reliability and performance on low-cost hardware, for applications
such as monitoring systems, edge servers or point-of-sale
devices.”

Sybase expects to deliver a beta version of SQL Anywhere Studio
for Linux in the first quarter of 1999. Customers can sign up for
the beta at http://www.sybase.com/products/anywhere/linuxbeta/.
Pricing will be announced at a later date.”
