“SystemRescueCD is a Live CD Linux distribution that is very
useful for repairing your system(s) and recovering lost data after
a system crash. With SystemRescueCD, you can also edit and create
partitions on your hard disks. It contains a large number of system
utilities, such as partimage, parted, fstools, etc. Also, you will
have tools for basic tasks, like text editing, file management and
some network related tools. SystemRescueCD is always powered by a
recent Linux kernel package that supports the popular filesystems,
such as ext2/ext3, ReiserFS, Reiser4, XFS, NTFS, FAT32, and even
network filesystems like SAMBA and NFS.”
