“In Atlanta we are blessed with trades shows, exhibits,
conferences and seminars that are more easily accessable than for
most people in this country. When the political battles took place
years ago over the need to spend tax money to build giant
conference centers, I kept my little oar out of the water. Now I
realize my mistake!”

“In Georgia, we have so many more opportunities to access the
best minds in the world now because of the great events and
conferences that come here. Of the many, probably none are more
futuristic than the one hosted each year by the Atlanta Linux
Enthusiasts (ALE). I am beginning to accept that the ‘best system’
might just make a mark in business after all and these folks have
held doggedly to an operating system that has been rejected because
it was not user friendly. Well, the bad news is, it is still not
very user friendly. The good news is, Linux is making progress in
that area and it works better than anything else on the
market.”

“So in Oct the best and the brightest of the Linux world are
going to assemble in town and for the first time, I feel like I
need to go.”
