Technocrat.net: Comment to U.S. FTC on Software Warranty Issues and UCITA

“The U.S. Federal Trade Commission is running a forum on
software warranty issues and UCITA. This is of interest to the
free software community because proposed laws, including UCITA,
actually require warranties on the software we
give away, and this would be a great hardship to free software
authors.
It’s of interest to users of proprietary software
because the warranties on software that we pay for are generally
considered inadequate. FTC is soliciting written comments by
September 11, full details are here.”
