Group on the embedded systems front, Microsoft Monday unveiled a
version of NT for non-PC industrial devices.”

“Like Motorola’s Computer Group, which will use OpenLinux and
Lineo’s Embeddix to attract embedded-systems developers, Redmond,
Wash.-based Microsoft is targeting Windows NT Embedded 4.0 at
makers of manufacturing systems, telecommunications systems, and
office-automation and medical devices…”

because its operating systems competitors — namely Linux vendors
