Linux vendor Red Hat expects to be the dominant market
player in Europe within eighteen months
, its chief operating
officer, Tim Buckley, said on Wednesday.”

“Launching a push into Europe, the Durham, N.C., company said
its open source model has a great following in the region and now
that Red Hat has the backing of the capital markets, it has the
resources to take that model worldwide…”

“As well as working through partners, Red Hat has established
direct operations in the United Kingdom and Germany and will open
offices in France and Italy by Christmas.”
